Sue L. Phillips

Sue L. Phillips, 94, of Belmont, passed away January 26, 2023 in Lincolnton at the Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center. Born January 14, 1929 in Hickory, NC, she was the daughter of the late Clyde S. and Thelma (Shook) Little.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years. After 40 plus years of employment, Sue retired from Package Products.

Sue enjoyed dancing to country, beach and boogie music. She also enjoyed visiting the Grand Ole Opry, the beach and the Cayman Islands. More than anything, Sue loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sue is lovingly survived by her three sons, Jerry Phillips, Gary (Lucy) Phillips and Bobby (Tonya) Phillips; grandchildren, Barry (Michelle) Phillips, Amy (Angie) Phillips, Jessica (Matt) Fassas, Keith (Lori) Phillips, Artie (Becky) Phillips, Crystal Phillips, Kevin (Lindsay) Phillips and Kelley (Bobby) Cook; great-grandchildren, Seth, Rylie, Courtney (Cole), Bain (Madeline), Ezra, Micayla, Kendall, Jacob (Izzy), Levi, Becca, Jack, Conner, Maddox, Landon and Parker; great, great-grandson, Henry; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her sisters, Minnie Powell and Peggy Morgan; brother, Bud Little.

Funeral Service 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2727 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, Charlotte, NC. Visitation 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
