He was born in Havre de Grace Maryland on April 18th, 1959.
Steve loved his family and Jesus. He loved to tease people and make them laugh. Steve took on the love of NASCAR, Tarheels and Crimson Tide from his father.
Steve was employed with Carotek for the last 17 years and worked in sales. He was a member of Statesville Road Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, teacher and on committees.
He was proceeded in death by his father John Hughes.
He is survived by and remembered in love and devotion by his wife Terri Hughes, sons Adam Hughes (Erica), Joel Hughes, mother Phyliss Hughes, sister Sherri Hughes (Ray), brother John Hughes (Christie), grandchildren Eli Hughes and Adelyn Hughes, sister-in-law Judy Duke, brother-in-law Rick Duke and many nephews and nieces.
Service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Statesville Road Baptist Church located at 4901 Statesville Road, Charlotte NC 28269. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and funeral at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Statesville Road Baptist Church.
