Sally Kate Burgin Austin of Lincolnton, NC, 81, passed away on November 28, 2013. She peacefully left this life for her eternal home with her Savior surrounded by her loving family. She was married to the love of her life, Bill for 61 years. She was the daughter of the late Robert H. Burgin and Rachel H. Burgin. She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Austin, Sr. Of Charlotte, son, William "Billy" Austin, Jr. and wife Chasity of Belmont, daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Kate Austin of Charlotte, sister, Judy Morris of Signal Mt., TN, grandson, Alexander "Alex" Charles Austin, a host of nieces and nephews, and a sea of extended family and friends. With her friendly manner and infectious laughter, she welcomed everyone and made strangers feel like family. She was everybody's "Aunt Sally". She was the storyteller of family history and the heart of the family cementing everyone together. Visitation will be Monday December 2, 2013 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home 4601 Freedom Drive Charlotte N.C. 28208 with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
