Carlton was an active and faithful life-long member of Cook’s Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was a proud veteran of the US Army having served in active duty during the Korean War.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Glenda Laughridge Dunn; daughter, Carla Cook (Scott), son, Stephan Dunn, sisters, Sara D. Yarbrough (Bob), Ginny Dunn and grandchildren Joshua and Natalie Cook.
Bluegrass was Carlton’s favorite music and he was an avid NASCAR and dirt track racing fan. He enjoyed watching his grandson race on the dirt track and was his biggest fan.
During his illness he received very special care given by his granddaughter, Natalie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Donald Dunn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Cook’s Memorial Presbyterian Church with T.J. Thompson officiating. Interment will follow the service and the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the burial.
