Rosie Allen went to be with our Lord on January 24, 2014. A native of Charlotte she was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude Anderson. Rosie loved to play bingo and had a great passion for life and her dog Lucy. She worked in the textile industry many years before retiring in 1988. She is survived by five children. Daughters; Terry Branch and husband Rick, Bonnie Helms, Candace Abernathy and husband Danny, sons; Charles Fennewald and wife Rebecca, and James Fennewald, four grandchildren; Greg Branch and wife Cynthia, Tamara Garlow and husband Scott, and Tanya McLanb and husband Brandon, and David Helms, Ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Allen, sisters; Lucille Stowe, Katherine Crump, Ruby Pope and Barbara Deese, brothers; Earl Anderson and James Anderson, son-n-law Larry Helms, and grandson Jonathan Branch.
A service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2:00pm in the Paul Helton Chapel at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive Charlotte NC, 28208. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
