Even though her dementia was increasing...she never lost her sense of humor. While visiting with her, she would surprise you with comments from out of nowhere that caused laughter. For example, a recent musician was visiting playing some old hits and she blurted out due to her compromised hearing “play louder and don't you know any Johnny Cash”. He obliged and her smile was contagious throughout the attendees. She never wanted to stand out in a crowd but in her younger and healthier days she was sought out by neighbors often due to her ability to look at an issue and find the silver lining.
The family has requested NO flowers be sent. Instead, they wish for you to make memorial contributions to https://www.cancerresearch.org specifically for breast cancer or the Brain Research Foundation.
