Ronald Weller

Ronald “Ron” Weller, beloved and loyal husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many, passed away on April 18, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 20, 1940, Ron graduated from Lincoln High School where he played basketball and was popular among his peers.

He met his loving wife Vicki at the age of 14 and were married in 1963. They began raising their family in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, before moving to Plano, Texas, in 1977. Ron had many successful accomplishments in the commercial real estate and shopping center management industry and was instrumental in building malls across the country.

He and Vicki lived in beautiful San Francisco, California, for 18 years before relocating to Fort Mill, South Carolina, to be closer to family.

Ron was a United States Army veteran and proudly served his country for six years.

Ron is survived by his dedicated wife of 61 years, Vicki, his doting daughter, Cammi Rosen (Craig), his faithful son, Ari Weller (Marie), and his precious grandsons Garrett Rosen, Evan Rosen and Jacob Weller, who will all miss him dearly.

Ron was a fiercely loyal sports fan his entire life and cheered on his favorite teams: Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, Golden State Warriors, Villanova basketball, Arizona Wildcats, Texas Longhorns and South Carolina Gamecocks. He also loved spending his time watching golf and being with family and friends.

He was a proud and active member of the Fort Mill Rotary Club, Carolina Orchards ROMEOS Club, Shalom Club, and Temple Solel.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Marion Weller, and sister, Judith Freedman.

May he rest in peace and his unending love stay in our hearts for eternity.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 2:00pm at Hebrew Cemetery of Greater Charlotte with a Shiva service following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rotary Club of Fort Mill or to the charity of your choice in Ron’s memory.
