Ronald Austin Grier

Born in Charlotte to the late Roselind Charles Chick and Carey Austin Grier, Ronald graduated from Garinger High School. One of Ronald’s first jobs was at the Independence Boulevard McDonald’s where he met his future wife, Jewell Elmore.

Ronald was employed by Chadbourne Hosiery Mill and Southland Insurance Company as a salesman. He was the accountant for their hair salons, Hair Cut Central in Mooresville and Denver.

Left to mourn his loss are his devoted wife Jewell Hope Elmore Grier of Holly Ridge, cherished children Timothy Austin Grier of Troutman, Theresa Anne Grier Dixon of Harrisburg, Todd Alan Grier of Salisbury and Thomas Anthony Grier of Hampstead. Also included are grandchildren Sarah Colleen Grier of Statesville, Kenneth Austin Grier of Pittsburgh, Ashley Faith Dixon Talbert of Lincolnton, Casey Jameshill Dixon of Harrisburg, Nolan Aaron Grier of Charlotte and Bethany Ann Grier of Holly Ridge along with two great grandchildren Mason Edward Talbert and Sadie Rose Talbert of Lincolnton. Ronald also leaves brother William Franklin Grier of Monroe.

The family will meet friends starting at noon on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at McEwen Funeral Service located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte prior to the 1pm funeral service. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
