on October 23, 2020 in Wilmington, North Carolina while with his loving wife.
Robert was born on July 22, 1959 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. He
graduated from Garinger High School in 1977 and attended Central Piedmont Community
College. Robert worked for Cummins, Wrenn Handling, and Barolworld for over 30 years as a
forklift mechanic. In 2010, he created a successful business which was a lifelong dream.
Robert loved the beach where he taught his grandchildren how to make sandcastles and
enjoyed fishing with his wife.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Susan Parnell; brother Bill Parnell, III; sister Jenny Lynn Parnell. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Becky; sister Marion Parnell Bradner; daughter Deanna (Cameron) Bradner; son Jason Summitt; grandchildren Rebecca and
Cameron Jr.; nephews William (Julie) Bradner, Patrick (Barbara) Bradner, Zachary Parnell; niece Meredith Daniels; great-niece Claire.
