Robert McGhee

1941 in Charlotte, NC to the late Sam and Gladys McGhee. He went to be with our Lord

and Savior on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at his daughter’s residence surrounded by his

family and special friend Mary Puckett.

Pop is survived by his daughter Bobbie Jean McGhee; son Rob McGhee (Holly);

granddaughters Kala, Keri, Ashlynn and Logan; great-grandsons Jaylen, Xavier,

Cameron and Aiden; sister Elaine McCullough, and numerous nieces and nephews. He

is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Linda McGhee, brothers Walt, Lonzo,

Jerry, and sisters Inez and Rosa Lee.

Gene worked many years in the plastic extrusion business, as well as owning B&R

Factory Outlet. In his free time he enjoyed spending time at Oak Island gill net fishing,

boating, and spending time with family and friends. Some of his favorite times were

spent creating life lasting memories at the Long Beach Campground.

A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte,

NC 28212. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 5716

Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A committal service will occur Friday, January 28,

2022 at 12:00 PM at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Team Church at 2301 Stevens Mill Rd,
