Mrs. Rebecca Beaty Perkins

Rebecca Beaty Perkins, 69, of Pineville, passed away on April 29, 2016 at CMC Main in Charlotte, NC. She was born on June 21, 1946 in Rutherford County, NC to Robert and Afteel Beaty. Rebecca attended Harding High School in Charlotte, NC. After graduating college she pursued a career as a CPA and retired from National Gypsum Company. As a child, Rebecca enjoyed going to McAdenville, NC with her father to see the Christmas Lights. She traveled the world from Israel to Alaska and with the Trailblazers. Being an avid supporter of the theatre she attended many shows at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. She loved reading sci-fi novels and spending time with her grandchildren and pets. Many can also attest that she was known for her strong political convictions.

Rebecca is survived by her 4 sons, Richard (Michelle) Perkins of Elizabeth City, NC, Nick (Adrienne) Perkins of Wilmington, NC, Christopher (Heidi) Perkins of Pineville, NC, Matthew (Melissa) Perkins of Charlotte, NC and 9 grandchildren, Joshua, Shianne & Richard Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC, Jada & Mya of Wilmington, Matthew, Joshua, Haley & Nathan of Pineville, NC. She is also survived by her sister, Anne Hayes and brother, Bob Beaty (Tammy).

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Pineville Church of the Nazarene from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will then be held in the church sanctuary at 11:00 AM. Online condolences may be offered at www.forestlawnwest.com.
