She was born August 13, 1931 in Charlotte, NC daughter of the late Joe and Vergie Starnes. Mrs. Gulledge was a dedicated wife and mother and a Founding Member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She worked 30 plus years in pension planning and retired as VP and Plan Coordinator for COMP-U-PLAN.
The family will receive friends starting at 10:30 AM Friday, December 3, 2021 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC with a service to follow at 11:15 AM in the funeral home chapel conducted by Reverend Leslie Dibble. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gulledge was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Cyril Long Gulledge and brother, Oren B. Starnes. Surviving is son Cyril L. Gulledge, Jr & wife Georgia of Matthews, son Wade S. Gulledge & wife Jeanette of Durham, NC, daughter Lynn Gulledge & husband Steve Bennett of Oak Island, NC, and two grandchildren, Crystal Gulledge of Tampa, FL and Brent Gulledge of Charlotte, NC.
