Pamela Denise Ross

Born in Mobile, AL to the late Jack and Jean Brewer, she grew up in Charlotte, NC. She graduated in 1971 from North Mecklenburg High School, and continued her education at King’s College.

In her teens, she worked at her parent’s local store, J and J Grocery, on Statesville Ave. Needless to say, she became very popular amongst her peers. She married her high school sweetheart, Bobby Dean West, in 1974, and they had two beautiful children together. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Patent Scaffolding and could type and work a calculator without looking and faster than lightning!

After the death of her first husband, she married her childhood friend, Joseph Ross, in 2007.

Her passion for music was evident, even in her final days. Some of her favorites included, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac. Anyone who knew her would agree that she had “Moves like Jagger!” She loved going to the beach and the NC Mountains and always had a smile on her face. She had a special place her in heart for her friends and family.

Left to cherish her in memory are her husband Joe; daughter Kelly West Helms (Steve); son BJ West; step-children Krystle and Eric Ross; Grandsons Sheldon, Avery and Nolan; Step-grandchildren Alexis, Ryan and Cam; Sister Sandy Mills (Ned) and niece Tiffany; and brother Jay Brewer; many friends and distant relatives.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the hospice team at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center, for their loving care and attention given to Pamela. Thank you all!

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 9th 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Home- Derita Chapel 6300 Mallard Creek Rd. Charlotte, NC 28262.
