Carolina, passed away Saturday January 29th 2022 at Novant Matthews Hospital at the age of 92.
A devoted, wife, mother, and grandmother, she was born in Macon,
Georgia to parents, Robert Ellis Evans of Wales, UK and
Marguerite Bailey Evans of Newfoundland, CA. She
spent most of her life in Brunswick and Jekyll Island
Georgia where she raised 3 sons, Darryl, Wayne, and
Michael Lancaster. In 1979 she married Francis William
Wood who proceeds her in passing. They shared a love
of travel, friendship, and devotion to family. Her favorite
activities were puzzles, card games and tending to her
garden.
She is survived by her eldest son Darryl, Her
grandchildren Karen (Mike), Wayne Jr. (Amber), George
(Baily), Stephen (Christy), Brian, Ryan (Benjamin).
A remembrance service and celebration of life is planned for 11:00 am Friday February 11th 2022 at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service.
