Nicholas Jared Ricer

Born March 21, 1990 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of Kelly Ricer and Frederick Ricer, Jr.

Following his graduation from Manus Academy, Nicholas furthered his education at Central Piedmont Community College where he earned an Associate Degree in Science and Biology.

Nicholas was a longtime member of a fitness gym where he enjoyed exercise and working out daily. He also loved the outdoors, including hiking, fishing, and time at the beach. Nicholas had a special interest in aquariums and marine animals, and had his certification in scuba diving. As a Florida resident, he also enjoyed visiting the Kennedy Space Center.

Nicholas is survived by his mother, Kelly Ricer of Indian Land, SC; father, Frederick Ricer, Jr. (Cheryl) of Hilton Head Island, SC; 3 siblings, Nathan Ricer (Trisha), Melanie Brooks (Mike), and Robbie Ricer; 4 nieces and nephews, Maci, William, Mason, and Amelia; grandparents, Dolores Eckles of Charlotte, NC, and Doris and Frederick Ricer, Sr. of Navarre, OH; along with several beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Eckles.

A Burial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery Mausoleum, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC.
