Born June 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Sain. At one time, Mrs. Thomas had worked for GMAC and later retired as the financial secretary from Ranson Junior High School.
She was a member of Cole Memorial United Methodist Church, the church’s Book Club and Sunshine Club and was a member of American Legion Post 347 Ladies Auxilliary.
The service to celebrate the life of Nancy Sain Thomas will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at McEwen Funeral Service - Derita Chapel. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
Survivors include her two children, Linda Holliday of Mooresville and Andy Thomas of New Orleans, LA; six grandchildren, Guy Edward Richardson, James Richardson, Patrick Richardson, Ashley Thomas, Casey Thomas and Ande Thomas; a brother, Charles Sain; former son-in-law, Guy Richardson and 3 sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, James Seymour Thomas.
