Miriam "Mickey" Bame Griffin

Miriam was born October 30, 1924 in Salisbury, NC to the late John and Mary H. Bame. She graduated from Boyden High School, Salisbury, NC and Kings Business College, Charlotte, NC. She worked and retired from Social Security Administration, Charlotte, NC.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Griffin; grandchildren, Travis Griffin and Kelly Griffin; sister, Mary “Tiny” B. (husband, Clarence) Earnheart and sister-in-law, Rachel Bame.

She was preceded in death by parents, John and Mary H. Bame; her husband Wilton “Doc” Griffin; son, Mike Griffin; brothers, Keith Bame and Johnny Bame (and wife Evelyn).

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the caregivers and staff at Woodridge Assisted Living for their compassionate care. They would also like to thank Hospice of Mecklenburg County for their kind expressions of care.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 with visitation starting at 9:45 a.m. until the service time.

Interment to follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
