Margaret K. White, 91, of Charlotte, passed away May 12, 2013. She was born on June 21, 1921 in Charlotte to the late Alvin and Ethel Kleckley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, J. Curtis White and sisters, Doris Chapman and Harriet Lawrence. Ms. White was a 1939 graduate of Harding High School and attended Kings Business College. She was a homemaker most of her life and an avid Tar Heel fan.
Ms. White is survived by her daughter, Libby White of Pineville, NC and son, Jim White, Jr. and wife, Cathy of Matthews, NC, grandson, Curt White III and wife Amanda of Charlotte and granddaughter, Hilary White of San Francisco, CA as well as four nieces and nephews.
A memorial reception will be held at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road Charlotte, NC 28227 on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:00pm. Interment will be private.
