Mamie Thompson Gardner

Mamie Lee Thompson Gardner, 92, of Charlotte, died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at CMC in Pineville. She was the daughter of the late John Calvin Thompson and Marjorie Lee Bailey Thompson and wife of the late Arthur Wilson Gardner.

Mamie was a lifelong member of Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church. She owned and operated Shady Lane Rabbitry for many years. She loved animals and enjoyed gardening. Her Heaven will have many animals, a big tractor, a large garden and lots of guns.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 22nd at 2:00 pm in Forest Lawn West Cemetery with Reverend Luke Mabrey officiating.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Gardner; daughter-in-law, Susan Lawing Gardner; sisters, Diane T. Faust and Wilma T. Price and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her sons, Donald Wilson Gardner and David Michael Gardner; brothers, John Calvin Thompson, Jr., Thomas Raymond Thompson, and Bobby Richard Thompson.
