Luke McClellan Howard

He was born on July 15, 2009, Charlotte, NC to Elise Getter Kowalski and Jason Howard.

He was the most loving and thoughtful son, grandson, big brother, cousin, and nephew. Luke was a happy-go-lucky little boy who always had a sparkle in his eyes. He made a special impression on everyone he met and touched many people’s lives. Luke had a love of everything trains: playing with them, riding them, watching them, building sets and just walking on the rails. He so loved the color orange that it was in everything he cared about. He had such a love of the outdoors: going to the park, riding bikes, playing on the beach and running outside when he heard the neighborhood kids. He was a showman to the core and loved entertaining family, friends, strangers and especially his new baby brother - who could not take his eyes off his big brother.

Luke is survived by his Daddy, Jason Howard; his Mama, Elise Kowalski and her husband, Jeremy Kowalski; baby brother Benjamin Kowalski; Grandparents, Debbie and Dennis Getter, Helen and Ralph Summerlin, Tim and Betty Howard, Leonard and Patty Kowalski; Jason Howard's fiance, Allison Klus; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large extended family.

Our hearts are broken. Little Luke will be forever missed. Our angel has been sent back home to heaven.

A celebration of Luke's life will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday November 25 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4519 Providence Road, Charlotte.
