Lois Jean Wise

A memorial service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Florence, SC at 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 28, 2018. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.

She was born in Richmond County, NC, the eldest daughter of the late Raymond and Lois Gibson Love. She graduated from the McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing in Florence, and retired after a long career with the state of South Carolina.

She was a long time member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. She had a passion for genealogy research and was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Paul) Larsen of the greater Washington, DC area; two sons, David (Payge) Wise of Florence, SC and Jonathan (Dana) Wise of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Austin (Brittney) Wise and Wessley Wise of Florence, SC; Bailey Wise of Wilmington, NC and Autry Wise of Charlotte, NC; one great-grandson Marshall Wise of Florence, SC; and two sisters, Carol Morris and Brenda Love of Sanford, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus M. Wise; a son, Brian Wise; two brothers Henry Love and Lamar Love.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Luke Lutheran Church Columbarium Fund, 1201 Cherokee Road, Florence, SC 29501.
