Leo was born on September 8, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri. He joined the United States Marine Corps, which is where he met his wife, Beth.
Many will remember Leo's smiling face when he was delivering for Fed Ex. He spent 32 ½ years with FedEx and had just retired September 9th.
He loved to hike, mountain bike, play tennis.... do anything outdoors! He was devoted to his teams, the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and the St. Louis Blues hockey team.
Leo was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Scott, Father-in-Law, James Kight, Nephew, Matthew Kight, Grandmother, Cousin, Christine Rodgers and just recently in June brother-in-law, Bart Kight.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Jeannine "Beth" Scott, daughter, Megan Lee Bentley and husband, Brett, Pops to Lily, Bishop and Baby Bear due in October, son, Trevor Scott and girlfriend Karie who he called his bonus daughter, mother, Barbara Scott, brother, Mark Scott, sister, Linda Michalka and husband Joe Michalka, sister, Cheri Brockman and husband, Russ, brother Greg Scott and fiance' Jeanne, brother, Steve Scott and wife, Lisa, Mother-in-Law, Judy Kight, Brother-in-laws, Bryan Kight and wife Jan, John Kight and wife Ginny, sister-in-Law, Opal Kight, Michelle Wright sister from another mother, stepmother in law, Dale Kight; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He considered his Sunday School class as a part of his extended family.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Hickory Grove Baptist Church 7200 E W.T. Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28215. A service to celebrate Leo's life will be held on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 at 11:00am at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest following the service at Sunset Memory Gardens 8901 Lawyers Road Mint Hill, NC 28227.
