Kathleen Myrtle Wright

Kathleen grew up in Charlotte where she enjoyed raising her family, loved to travel, and always relished to work a good jigsaw or word search puzzle.

She retired as a bookkeeper at Electrical Distributors and Regional Electric.

Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, of 38 years, Woodrow W. Wright, son, Buddy Wright, son-in-law Dean Matthews, five brothers and five sisters.

She leaves to cherish memory Susie Matthews, Kathy McGalliard (Baxter), grandchildren Linda (Roger), Scott (Natalie), Wesley, Elizabeth and Jake; and great grandchildren Marley and Connor.

Kathleen loved attending church and was a member at Belmont Park United Methodist Church, University City United Methodist Church, and most recently at Moore’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to Mo, Dar and Terri for their loving care of our MeMaw.

A graveside service will be held on Monday September 6, 2021 at 10 am at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moore’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 10601 Moore’s

Chapel Rd., Charlotte, NC 28214, or Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203.
