Judy Crump McCarley

Judy Elizabeth Crump McCarley, 83, died peacefully at Clear Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Charlotte, NC on the morning of December 19, 2024. Her daughter and son-in-law were with her prior to her passing.

Judy was born in Charlotte, NC on October 20, 1941, to the late Judson Redwine Crump and Mary Elizabeth Shore Crump. She was the oldest of six children. Judy graduated from North Mecklenburg High School and spent her life in Charlotte. She retired from Mercy Hospital Patient Accounting. Judy was a very loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, John Thomas McCarley, her brother, Tony Crump, and sister, Tami Crump. She is survived by her only daughter, Kim McCarley Mullis, husband Kerry Mullis, her two grandchildren, Joseph Bennett Mullis and Carley Elizabeth Mullis, her sisters Debby Garner and Missy Crump, and her brother Perry Crump, wife Donna, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Without fail, Judy had a smile on her face and was kind to everyone. She lived her life always thinking of others, putting their needs in front of her own, and was able to consistently find a silver lining. Judy was a real Southern lady and all who met her knew this to be true. She loved Christmas, watching it snow, and chocolate. But most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. Judy was not only a wonderful and caring mother to her daughter but also a best friend. She was deeply loved by many and will be missed so very much.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27 between 11:30 – 1:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Services at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A mausoleum service at Sharon Memorial Park will follow.
