Juanita S. Wilson

Mrs. Wilson was born December 7, 1919 in Charlotte, daughter of the late Jesse Lee Stephens and Martha Christenbury Stephens. She was a lifelong area resident and a member of Devonshire Baptist Church, where she had perfect attendance for many years. She now joins her parents; her beloved husband, M. J. Wilson; a granddaughter, April Russell, and siblings, Geraldine McHam, J.L. Stephens, Louis Stephens, and Blanch Hargett.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Steve (Pam) Wilson, Joe Wilson, Bill (Robin) Wilson, Beth (Ray) Hilton and Ann (Arthur) Russell; grandchildren, Tina Williams, Chip Wilson, Angela Simmons, Paige McKinney, Libbi Ramsey, Rusty Wilson, Amy Tisdale, Andy Hilton, Randy Hilton, Heather Hilton and Andy Russell; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will gather at United Love Baptist Church (11487 Flowe’s Store Road, Midland, NC 28107) to receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 1 – 2 p.m. The celebration of life services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marvin Tyson officiating, followed by her committal into Charlotte Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either United Love Baptist Church or Cabarrus County Hospice (5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081) in memory of Juanita Stephens Wilson.
