Charlotte-Mr. Sargent, 74, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2014 at home. He was born on January 1, 1940 in Modesto, California He was the son of the late Jay and Alberta Sargent.
John was an alumnus of Louisiana State University, where he attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1971. John was a retiree of IBM. He enjoyed fishing and photography.
He is survived by his wife Rose of Charlotte; his sister, Donna Blanc and her husband John; and their son Anthony; his brother Jay and his children, Linda Kay and Troy of Texas. John is also survived by Rose’s children whom he treated like his own; Lana Heitzman, Jim Boughton and his wife Linda Kaye, and Ralph Boughton; grandson, Christopher Heitzman and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Kingston, New York.
