John Wesley Cole

Born in Hampton, VA to John W. and Marie Bloxom Cole, he was blessed with two brothers, Melvin and Bill (Deceased) and a sister Beulah (Deceased).

He married Carthene Stackhouse (Deceased) on June 14, 1942 and moved to Charlotte. He then began his life-long career as an Auto and Truck Mechanic. He spent his entire career with Frank Woods Pontiac and International Harvester.

Jack loved target shooting with his buddies at the private range they built. He also spent many hours in his workshop woodworking and fixing things.

Several years following the death of his wife, Jack met Martha P. Childers (Deceased) at church. They were married March 21, 1998 and spent 20 wonderful years together.

Jack welcomed into his family Martha’s two children, Benda Autrey (Randy) and Ben Jordan, deceased (Margaret). In addition to the above, Jack is survived by two step-grandsons, their children, nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by all.

Visitation will take place at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe, Charlotte on Saturday, August 4, 2018 beginning at 10:00am. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Sharon Memorial Park.
