Jennifer C. McGrath passed with peace and grace on May 26th 2017 with her loved ones at her side. Born September 30th, 1978 she was the first of two wonderful daughters to Edward McGrath and Rebecca Bourdeau (1957-2015) and one of the few natives of Charlotte.
Jennifer welcomed life and all the experiences within. A free spirit who loved to dance and shop, she was of a select few that could make an adventure out of going to Walmart entertaining and enjoyable. She had monumental love for her family which she immortalized with tattoos of butterflies, each chosen by and representing the people that she held most dear.
Jennifer was an avid photographer who was proud to display the moments she was able to capture to remind us all of a time spent together or the beauty of the world that surrounds us. She loved to host holidays and always wanted to have surround herself with family for meals. Whether she was cooking or we were dining out, she savored her food and a bite or two off of everyone else’s plate as well.
We will all remember her fondness of jewelry, purses and sparkles. We will never forget the famous woopie that she could not sleep without since she was young her collection of cows that she started when she was a child and the infinite cow “shrines” that followed her to every home she made.
She has made her way to heaven and rests with her the love of her life, Bruce. He was her soul mate, life coach and the compass that led her to create the life that she wanted. She was so proud of him and felt so lucky that they could share part of their lives together. She has been reunited with him and all the others she loved with open arms. She is not alone.
Jennifer will always be remembered as a great mother and for the sacrifices she made for her daughters, Hannah Leonard and Lauren McGrath. The time they that spent together was invaluable to each one of them. She was so proud of the young independent woman that Hannah has become and the budding artist that she had encouraged Lauren to be. She was proud of her daughters, their accomplishments and the people that they are becoming; and took every chance she had to express it to everyone.
She cherished her niece, Lexi Baltmiskis, and would always make sure that her gift was the best for every occasion. Especially Christmas when she would find the best baby doll to give her each year.
Brenda Baltmiskis was her sister and best friend. Brenda knew that she could count on Jennifer to do anything for her anytime.
Her father, Ed McGrath, was always there to love and support her no matter what was going on and she always felt that love. “A father’s tears and fears are unseen, his love is unexpressed, but his care and protection remains as a pillar of strength throughout our lives”
