James Clifford Shaw Sr.

James Clifford Shaw, Sr. age 82 of Charlotte passed away March 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Shaw was truly a man of God who lived by example every day. He was a devoted family man and friend to so many. To know him was to love him. Funeral services will be at Friday, March 27th at 2:00PM in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, Reverends Ray Hardy, Jimmy King, and Harry Davis officiating. Visitation will be one hour (1-2PM) prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery with military rites. Mr. Shaw was born in Charlotte November 11, 1932 son of the late John Dewey Shaw, Sr. and Bessie Hunter Shaw. He was a member of Shady Brook Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher 35 years and a Deacon. Mr. Shaw was presently attending the Pointe Church in Belmont, NC. He retired from Ferguson Box Company as Fleet Supervisor after 40 years. Surviving are a daughter, Donna Shaw Womack and husband Eddie of Mt. Holly, NC, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, sister, Edith Massey Curlee and a brother, Carson Shaw all of Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeane Kennerly Shaw, son Jimmy C.
