Helen Faye Rumball met Jesus’s loving peaceful arms in hospice care on February 13, 2016.
A resident of Charlotte, NC since 2006. She was born January 16, 1932 in Bowling Green, FL
to Leola Peoples Albritton and Issac Albritton.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Arthur Rumball, daughters Helen Kim Parsons of
Charlotte, Jana Lee Powell of Flowery Branch, GA (husband Bill), Rebekah Faye Hoover of Ramseur, NC
and son John Lee Rumball of Tampa, FL (wife Beth). Grandchildren Addie Powell of Flowery Branch, GA
Jared Rumball , J.J. Rumball & Amy Rumball all of Tampa, FL. Cousins Ann Moncrief of Kissimmee, FL,
Shirley Risser (husband Richard) of Apopka, FL and Charles Parsons of Kissimmee, FL. She was preceded in death by both parents, Aunts , Fannie Durrance, Ruth Alderman Pearl_Peoples ,Uncle McKinley Durrance and Cousin Dee Parsons.
Helen Rumball graduated from Hardee High School of Wauchula, FL and Gordon Keller School Of Nursing/University of Tampa with a Registered Nurse Degree. She was employed by Good Samaritan Hospital, Palm Beach FL as Assistant Charge Nurse, Supervisor of Nursing of the Wauchula Clinic, Wauchula, FL, Veterans Administration Hospital, Lake City, FL as a Ward Nurse, private blood services laboratory, Washington, DC and Co-Founded the first blood services unit, American Red Cross, Johnson City, TN where she served as an Associate Professor of Medicine at East Tennessee State University Quillen School Of Medicine.
Services will be held at Forest Hill Church on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2 P.M., located on 7224 Park Road Charlotte, N.C. 28210 (Charis Room)..
Burial will take place at a later date at River Hill Church Cemetery private service.
