Gary Keith Huffman, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 24, 2018. He was 69 years old. He was born in Hickory, North Carolina to Essie Huffman and the late KC Huffman.
Mr. Huffman recently retired from the Postal Service where he was a maintenance mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and was such a caring and loving husband, father, and paw paw.
Mr. Huffman is survived by his wife of 47 years, Andrea Huffman; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Jessica Huffman of Concord, NC and Ben and Rachel Huffman of Indian Trail, NC; and grandchildren Brantley, Easton, and Cassidy. He is also survived by his siblings Carolyn Miller, of Belmont, NC, Kenneth Huffman (and Sandy), of Charlotte, NC, and Pamela Jackson, of Belmont, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Charlotte, NC.
