Mrs. Frances Irene West Herron

Mrs. Frances Irene West Herron, 87, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died on September 9, 2015 at Summit Place in Mooresville, North Carolina. A native of Randolph County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Dora Elizabeth Varner West. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Herron; by a sister, Dorothy Scott and by two brothers, Roy West and Winburn West.

Mrs. Herron is survived by her son, Fred Edward Herron and his wife Terry, of Charlotte; by a sister, Mabel Pike and husband Hampton, of Staley, NC; by grandchildren, Lorrie Long and Brian, of Mooresville and Jimmy Herron and wife Buffy, of Concord, North Carolina. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Nicole Long and fiancé Chris Boger of Statesville, NC, Lucas Herron of Concord, Chelsea Herron of Concord; and also by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Herron will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Pastors Mark Ball and Hal Greene officiating in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Charlotte Memory Gardens.
