A native of Asheville, Betty was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ike Wingo on April 25, 1925. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Fisher, Jr.
Betty is survived by her children, Randy Fisher and his wife Debbie of Greenville, NC, Donna Fisher of Houston, TX; granddaughters, Valerie Reed of Atlanta, GA, Leslea Wright of Charlotte and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 27 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Betty was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always a lady. She loved her family and they loved her. Betty married her high school sweetheart and they had a wonderful life together with many friends. She loved to crochet and made some beautiful pieces of art that her family will cherish forever.
