Ms. Uzzell, age 65, of Indian Trail, NC passed away August 18, 2020 at home. She was born January 12, 1955 in Goldsboro, NC, the daughter of the late Raymond Uzzell and Lucille Gray Uzzell. Ms. Uzzell was a longtime member of Memorial United Methodist Church and later in life Myers Park United Methodist Church of Charlotte. She had recently retired from IBM where she worked for many years as an Information Systems Project Manager. Ms. Uzzell had an artistic flair and enjoyed gardening, home decoration and entertaining. She was loved by her family and will be missed by family and friends. Surviving are her brother Monte Uzzell and his wife Susan Uzzell of Waxhaw, NC.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC. McEwen Funeral Service will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Memorial United Methodist Church, 4012 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC or alternatively to Myers Park United Methodist Church, 1501 Queens Rd., Charlotte, NC.
