Deborah Chisom Hinson, age 54, passed peacefully on November 28, 2012, at Duke University Hospital after a hard fought battle with leukemia. Deborah was born February 4, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Luther Chisom and Katherine Thacker.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Steve Hinson; five children, Raegan, Matthew, Tiffany, Lyndsay, and Michael and wife Amanda; three grandchildren, Paul, Grace, and Wesley. She also leaves behind two adoring grand dogs, Flicka and Boo.
Deborah grew up in Roanoke, Virginia. She married William Kingery and raised their two daughters, Tiffany and Lyndsay, in peaceful Patrick County. She married the love of her life, Steve, in 2004 and moved to Pineville, North Carolina. Deborah was the Director of Operations at Sign World, Inc., in Charlotte where she thoroughly enjoyed her business time with family and friends, Jerry and Deborah McKenzie. She was a doting mother, grandmother, and an avid shopper. Deborah had a love of life that will be remembered by friends and family, and be missed by all.
Her family will greet family and friends on Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 12:30p.m.- 1:30p.m. at the McEwen-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road Charlotte, NC, followed by her memorial service at 1:30p.m. Reverend Jim Lytle will officiate.
