David A. Turner, age 75, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
David was born on December 7, 1947 in Mecklenburg County to the late Andrew and Sarah Turner. He graduated from South Meck High School and joined the US Army. David served during the Vietnam Era and deployed during the Desert Storm/Shield Era. After his military service, David was a professional long haul truck driver until his retirement.
He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers; Clyde and Steve Turner.
David is survived by his siblings; Jim Turner, Nancy Taylor and Joyce (Ken) Smith.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227. A chapel service will follow at 2:00pm. David will be laid to rest with military honors at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint HIll, NC.
