Dave was born in Taylor, Michigan on Sept. 2, 1940. His parents, George and Hilda Boik owned Meadow Lanes, the first local bowling alley. After raising his three children in Huron Michigan, in 1986 he chose to relocate his family to Charlotte, NC. Eventually retiring in Charlotte he continued to enjoy his family and pursue his passion of playing golf at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation. In addition to golf, Dave believed in staying fit and could often be found exercising at the Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center or taking dance lessons with his wife Bobbie and enjoying friends and events at St. Luke Catholic Church.
