David Hamilton Allen

Mr. Allen was born April 2, 1938 in Albemarle, NC to the late Craven and Ellen Hamilton Allen.

In 2000, he retired from the Real Estate Division of the City of Charlotte after 30 years. Mr. Allen was active at Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon and Elder and was active in Boy Scouts of America, Pack and Troop 153. David was awarded the District of Merit and completed the Woodbadge Training Course. In 2021, Mr. Allen moved to Cary, NC to be closer to his two sons and grandchildren.

David is survived by his sons Michael and his wife Melinda of Cary, NC and Jonathan and wife Kim of Apex, NC, along with grandchildren Samantha Hudson (Austin), Josh, Justin, Connor and Reid Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Kluttz Allen, and his brother, Jimmy Allen of Gastonia, NC.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm, November 19, 2023 at Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
