Brent traveled the world with the Navy and then again with his wife. He made friends wherever he went.
As a Police Instructor for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, he taught hundreds of Charlotte’s finest Officers. But his true love was as a K9 Officer. When not working, Brent wrote poetry, dabbled in woodworking, taught Jiu Jitsu (he was a Black Belt), and attempted to cook his wife amazing meals.
He left behind Gina, his wife and partner of almost 19 years, his father Gary, mother Cathy, stepmom Debbie, grandmother Jewel, brother Brian (Crystal), sisters Carrie and Cindy, nieces Hayley and Meredith, his K9 partner Levi, his team of K9 Officers, and his brothers and sisters in blue, all of whom loved and cherished him.
A celebration of life for Brent will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 1:30 PM at One Water Facility, 4100 W. Tyvola Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28208.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brent's memory may be made to People of Service Together, a non-profit organization founded by Brent to serve First Responders struggling with their mental health; www.peopleofservicetogether.org.
