Brenda Rhodes Litaker

Born April 30, 1939 in Concord, she was the daughter of Henry and Essie Rhodes. Following graduation from Hartsell High School she attended Appalachian State University. Brenda had a very rewarding career as a real estate legal assistant. She started her career in Charlotte with Rodney Purser in the early eighties.

Brenda was a lifelong member of Matthews United Methodist Church and enjoyed her many friends there. She also enjoyed the many friends she had at the Essex Condominiums. Brenda cherished the pool parties, gatherings, and visits from all of her neighbors and friends. She was so thankful for the care and love her neighbors gave her.

She dearly loved her family, especially her two special grandchildren, Hatley Rae and Lawson. Brenda is survived by her daughter, Sage McArthur (husband Dan McArthur) of Charlotte and her brother, Wayne Rhodes (wife Elaine) of Concord. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Litaker.

A service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held at 12 noon Friday, November 9th, in the chapel of Harry and Bryant, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00-11:45 am. Interment will take place at Cold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery in Concord, NC.
