Brad Franklin Jordan

Born October 30, 1971 in Florence SC, he was the son of late Oscar Frank Jordan and Rita Fazende Jordan Smith. Brad spent his developing years in Darlington SC until eventually relocating to Charlotte NC where he would spend the rest of his years residing. His professional life was spent committed to international freight management where he earned a reputation of a hardworking and reliable employee and supervisor.

Brad was a lifelong car enthusiast, known to invest his time over the years on rebuilding his Dodge truck with the goal to run it down the drag strip. He loved hunting and fishing with friends and family, and was always looking forward to the next trip. As an avid sports fan you could regularly find Brad socializing during his beloved Saints games ready to jaw it up with anyone who was so inclined.

The true joy of Brad’s life was his family and friends. He adored his mother Rita Fazende Jordan Smith and stepfather John Stuart Smith sure to call them every day to check in and tell them he loved them. He was always so proud of his father, the late Oscar Frank Jordan and would regularly show honor and respects to him. Brad had two nieces that he loved dearly and always figured out a way to surprise with costumes and gifts. He was always so proud of his brother Thomas Fazende Jordan and spoke highly of him to everyone.

Brad made sure to show everyone just how much he cared about them in any way he could, whether a phone call to check on you and see how things were going or to give a helping hand to a friend. Always fun loving and making people laugh it was not uncommon for Brad to fill a room with energy.

He is survived by his mother Rita Fazende Jordan Smith, stepfather John Stuart Smith, Brother Thomas Jordan, and two nieces Elli Lorrea Jordan, and Novalei Rae Jordan.

A memorial service for Brad will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.
