Born July 18, 1943 in Rock Hill, SC, he was the son of the late Hollis & Rosie Howington. He retired from the Town of Pineville, as the Public Works supervisor, in 2013. He enjoyed woodworking & tinkering in his shop.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Crump Howington, of 63 years, two children, Mitzi (David) Phillips, of Pineville, NC and Les Howington of Fort Mill, SC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, one sister, Janelle Knabb, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Rosie, infant son, Bobby Warren, Jr., infant granddaughter, Samantha Nicole, one brother, Horace Howington, and one sister, Patricia Tilley.
The family will receive family and friends for a Celebration of Life on Friday, Dec. 27th, 2024 at the home of Bobby and Linda Howington, 319 Lynnwood Lane, Pineville, NC, 28134. Please feel free to drop in anytime between 1pm and 6pm.
