She was born on February 3, 1937, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the late Oscar and Martha Triplett. She was a graduate of Chester High School.
Barbara had a loving and determined spirit, and was known for her feisty nature. She loved to bake, garden and travel, but most of all, she adored being a mother to her two children, David and Debra, grandmother to her six grandchildren, and great-grandmother to her eleven great-grandchildren. She enjoyed any opportunity to spend time with her family.
The family would like to recognize Barbara's niece, Barbara "Cindy" Crook. When Barbara was at her greatest time of need in life, Cindy answered the calling. She moved in and provided round the clock care for Barbara during her final months of life. The family will be forever indebted to Cindy for the love and care she provided to Barbara.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Oscar Triplett, Jr. and sister, Kathaleen Bartlett. She is survived by her two children, David (Catherine) Harris and Debra (Mitch) Connella, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
