Avanelle J. Carpenter

Avanelle grew up in Norwood, NC and graduated Norwood High School. She went on to graduate from Columbia Nursing School and became a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Jerry Carpenter, for 59 years. She was a very loving mother and grandmother, always there for events, holidays, and life moments. She was an active member at Wilson Grove Baptist Church for many years. Her supportive and friendly spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Avanelle is survived by her son, Scott Carpenter (Jackie); her daughter, Leslie Stefano (Juan); her grandchildren, Christian Ruland, Maximus Stefano, Bronson Stefano, Haley Carpenter, Emily Carpenter, and Josie Carpenter; her great-granddaughter, Harlow Miller; her sister, Marion Lisk-Deese (Wayne); and many other extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 24, 2022 at McEwen's Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews - Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, NC. A visitation will be held prior from 12:00 to 1:00 pm.
