Born April 24, 1922 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Aubrey was a son of the late Aubrey Lee Thomas, Sr. and Thrasilla Donahue Thomas. He attended Swarthmore, Pennsylvania public schools and the University of Virginia. Aubrey served with the military for 20 years and with the Department of Defense for another 20 years.
Surviving are his brother, John B. Thomas and his wife, Laura; nieces, Lee Ann Politis and Laura Baker; and nephews, John B. Thomas, Jr. and Donald Aubrey Thomas.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, August 26, 2017, in the Plantation Estates Auditorium. A private interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, District of Columbia.
