Arthur Ray OwensOf York SC went home to be with his Lord on Decmeber 25th 2014. Born in Lincoln County on January 14, 1927 to the late Audre and Annie Owens Gilbert. Mr Owens was active in his church with a great love for the church and his Lord, his was a truck driver retiring with TCT as well as being an independent truck. Mr Owens retired from in 1992 and started a CB radio business and worked in that business until 2005, a loving father of five children.
In addition to his parents Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Owens, grand son Toby Fowler, his brother and sisters. Left to cherish a life time of memories are his children; Raynette Quesinbury, of Columbia, SC, Wanda Ramsey of Lincolnton, NC, Arthur Owens Jr and wife Lynn of Moorseville, NC, Phyllis Watson of Travlers Rest, SC and Billy Owens and wife Jodi of York, SC, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr Owen will be held Monday 29th 2014 at the Paul Helton Chapel, Forest Lawn West and the family will recieve friends an hour prior to the service.
The Family of Arthur Ray Owens Sr. would like to give a special thanks to Agape Senior of York for the love and care they gave their father.
