Born May 7, 1933 in Charlotte, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Roy Smith and Maud Brown Smith.
Ann, a graduate of Harding High School, furthered her education at Queen's College and then spent her entire career as a sales representative. She was a lifelong member of Christ Presbyterian Church. Following her move to Statesville, she was associated with New Perth ARP Church.
Ann enjoyed many happy hours at the Iredell Senior Citizens Center playing bridge. She also loved knitting, computer games, bowling, reading and gardening.
Ann is survived by her son, Roy Edwin Hibbard (Kellie) and her daughter, Deborah Vidal (Lupe); grandchildren, Joseph Roy Hibbard and Marie Hibbard; and her great-granddaughter, Rosemary Hibbard.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Hibbard, and her sister, Mildred Crivillo.
A service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 2nd at Christ Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Monday at the church.
