Bud worked over 35 years with the Farm Credit System, serving in multiple roles and retiring as Executive Vice President. He loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with family. He was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church.
Bud is survived by his wife Kathryn Batchelor; daughters, Becky (Marvin) Carter of Chapin, Gail (Lee) Capell of Irmo; grandchildren, Matt (Emma) Carter, Doug (Holly) Carter, Will Capell, Kitt (Alexis) Capell; great-grandchildren, Braddock Carter, Asher Carter, Kolter Capell, Huxton Capell; sister, Marjorie (Buddy) Leger of Cordell, GA, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Agatha Greenwood; brothers, Charles, Albert, Roger, and Oscar Batchelor, and great-grandson Noah Carter.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at Chapin Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Benevolence Fund or Missions Fund at Riverland Hills Baptist Church.
