He graduated from Thomasville High School, then went on to graduate from Georgia Southwestern College where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Harrell had a career in the Wholesale Grocery Business with Thomas & Howard in Newberry, SC. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent much of his time at his cottage in Panacea, Florida. He was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Harrell is survived by his son, Harrell Guy, III and his wife, Morgan; daughter, Taylor Guy; and sister, Esther Guy.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Leonora McCormick Guy and father, Robert Harrell Guy.
Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel.
Memorials may be given to a charity of choice.
