Margaret Lee West

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 63 Years, Patrick Lee West, who passed October 23,2021.

She is survived by her children, son; Patrick L. West, Jr “Rick”, daughters; Deborah M. Huff, Suzan R. Wagner, Shantelle L. Bennett (Aaron), grandchildren; Morgan Cobb (Jacob), Chad and Chandler Huff, Charlie and Clay Wagner, Colby and Molly Margaret Bennett, great grandson Bennett Cobb, brother; Donald Ferrell (TX).

Margaret married Pat West on June 14, 1958, they traveled extensively while he served honorably in the Army. In 1989 they built their forever home in Chapin, SC. She worked at Lexington Richland Five School District for 24 Years. After retirement from the school, Margaret took a job at Invitation Station, just so she could talk to people. “Grammy” adored her grandchildren and great grandson “B.B. & GiGi” the most. She loved being on the lake, adventuring out to new and old familiar places, and attending her grandchildren’s events. Of course, she enjoyed shopping, where every department store clerk in the mall knew her by name.

Margaret will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.
